Being a skilled
requires that you are able to meet a client where they are at with an intervention that can give them a corrective experience.
Today that wasn't Mindfulness, or building psychological flexibility.
It was using ALL the curse words. Liberally.
Library workers are still managing pandemic issues, dealing with an uneasy public b/c of the general state of the US, and are also the target of self preceived culture warriors. We are not going to mindfulness workshop our way out of the stress. Please stop.
I just turned 30.
Here is what I learned in the past 10 years:
- Always be learning
- Start investing asap
- Practice mindfulness
- Take care of your body
- Be intentional with your money
- Be a better listener than a speaker
- Surround yourself with people who level you up
