Buenos Aires, Aug 14 (Prensa Latina) Argentina will send its first batch of 2.7 tons of medical supplies to Cuba as solidarity support following death-dealing fire at the Matanzas oil terminal, Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero reported Sunday.
Cuba requested international support from “friendly countries” with oil sector expertise to help respond to the Matanzas fire. The U.S. has not publicly offered to help (unlike Mexico and Venezuela) although Cuban authorities say the U.S. offered “technical assistance.”
