Capitalism is not capital, you idiot.
It’s a model that combines people’s actions and the role of monetary transactions as incentives.
This makes capitalism the most pro-human economic model because it doesn’t force you and it doesn’t give you empty promises of fake compassion.
What's great about capitalism is that the very people tasked with ending the pandemic through the creation of a vaccine have a massive financial incentive for COVID-19 to stay around forever so they can keep selling us boosters.
Surely there is no better way to organize society.
funny how "this is all because of Capitalism" has become a shorthand for "this is a difficult coordination problem that capitalism has so far solved poorly," as if another economic system would make the problem easy
Most of the time when people talk about gentrification they're just talking about the inequalities of the housing market under capitalism. But it's a way easier sell to pitch this nonsense to editors at major newspapers instead.
In spite of Biden, natural gas is down 25% as of today, in just three weeks, from $5.12 /mm/btu to $3.84. Number of wells has doubled in Texas alone. Frackers fracking ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. Crude sliding too. And Biden can't stop them. Capitalism is very....adaptive.
I’m so tired of web3. Setting aside the scams and the environmental concerns, the idea that we can escape the failings of late-stage capitalism by turning more things into economic tokens is such a fundamentally misguided view of what forms of ownership are valuable and why.
