I doubt the writers took this into consideration for most of the characters. But the meaning of "Raymond" is an interesting coincidence, I must admit. With "Elizabeth", regarding to EK, it's the opposite.

But that’s where is it really the writers or the initial creator who might have had this thought out. These are key characters to the story so they could’ve been in the “bible” of the story created by JB. He might have looked into this.
