MOVIES I WATCHED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NOVEMBER 2021 I RECOMMEND:
The Story of Diana (2017)
The Beatles: Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years (2016)
The Beatles: Get Back* (2021)
*Favorite movie watched this year! 🤓
It’s weird that we say “I’ve already got PLANS tonight”, when really we generally have just a singular plan.
But yet, if I said “Sorry, can’t make it I’ve got a plan for the night”, that just makes me sound fucking suspicious as hell.
While watching #TheBeatlesGetBack I kept trying to figure out which Beatle I was most like and the whole time I was leaning towards Ringo but when it got to this point I realized I was humoring myself that I would even consider the other Beatles.
Admittedly I haven’t seen GHOSTBUSTERS a lot (hey, nobody’s perfect) but I had always thought Stay Puft was a random thing Ray came up with & I found it confusing.
But there’s two foreshadowing moments to the observant viewer that makes the reveal rewarding & make sense.
🚨🚨 THIS IS NOT A DRILL 🚨🚨
I have just learned that Machine Gun Kelly, er, I mean Colson Baker, has a western coming out December 10th.
I watched the trailer and it actually looks…fucking awesome?
Put it in your viewing schedule, everyone!
Vince is delivering this $100 million dollar egg #SurvivorSeries plot with the same ridiculous pulling-it-out-of-our-ass-and-we-don’t-give-shit line delivery of a @redlettermedia Half in the Bag episode skit.
So, naturally, I love it.
I was hoping there’d be a fun new character, a Jedi in hiding reveal, that’d pop up.
But also the other reason is it’s Mando’s story & he isn’t the one to save the day so it kinda sorta had a deus ex machina vibe where the bad guys didn’t feel beaten in an earned clever way. 🤷🏻♂️
Some say that “Luke’s appearance in The Mandalorian is a step back for the series” and I find that off putting!
Mando’s goal was to reunite Grogu with a Jedi and Luke was the last one!
This fit the narrative and it wasn’t random fan service, it was a symbol of HOPE! #StarWars
