Sorry to beg on main lol but if you're currently compiling end of year podcast round ups + haven't heard Kitchens, it's a six part independent audio doc series about the history of the kitchen and how it relates to our relationship with it now, and your readers might enjoy it 😏

Kitchens is a six part podcast series and collaborative print zine about - you guessed it! - the kitchen. Through personal stories, the project combines the history of design and food to understand the current context of how and where we cook 🔪🍴🥢☕

My last online cookery class this year is on Saturday, 6th November, making apple and walnut pie, and lamb (or cheese) pastries called șuberec, specific to south-eastern Romania. They are both good pastry recipes and very easy to make. Link here thank you.

this is actually is a nice in for some good news i have: i'll soon be starting a column for @vittleslondon all about incidental eating - the food places/rituals that insert themselves into our lives as if by accident, so everything from vending machines to station cafes ✨

And finally, am v excited that @rubytandoh will be writing about Incidental Eating: train buffet cars, vending machines, supermarket cafés, and ice cream vans, places which are not eating destinations but have far greater sway over our lives than those we actively seek out.

I ♥️ recipe books, but Cook As You Are by @rubytandoh is my new fave by a LONG way. I want to eat pretty much everything in it AND it has tips throughout (and a whole recipe section) for people who might find cooking exhausting/chopping difficult etc due to illness/disability.
