After more digging… my guess is the shutterred Ivy Mountain… began distilling in 2011, closed in 2019. Bought by RM Rose early’21 for extra distilling … Rose just now released their own BIB. The GA component is 8 yr. Sold off Ivy Mountain stock to focus on house distillate?

Could it be the now shuttered Ivy Mountain Distillery? They started distilling long enough ago to have aged bourbon… then went out of business

Ok Friday night whiskey trivia. The second batch of Brad Paisley’s American Highway whiskey is a blend of MGP and whiskey from Georgia. I’m told the GA component is significant, about 600 bbls. So, question is: Who in GA can churn out that much hooch?

I was curious about the architectural history of

, so I pulled out this 1935 Soviet publication on industrial building. Azovstal (right) was begun around 1930, @ the end of the first Five-Year Plan (FFYP). It was modeled on the Gary, Indiana (USA) steel plant (left). 🧵
