As South Koreans enter the living-with-corona phase, some are easing back into social life by visiting public spaces where they can be alone and do very little. It's called 'hitting mung,' or 멍때리기, a term for spacing out. From me in Seoul:

@Ruth_Mensch @myhlee I wouldn't mind a movie theater with peaceful scenery or VR to relax. I heard you have to book well in advance in Korea right now :/

This is the Ant Death Spiral. Ants end up following the pheromones of one another, and they get stuck like this and eventually they can die of exhaustion. This is a metaphor for society.
