E-2 3D-PRINTED 🚀 ENGINE MILESTONE : We reached our nominal 10 metric ton of thrust, highest performance 2.62 o/f mixture ratio and 100 bar of combustion pressure! This chamber is uniquely lox cooled and 3D printed in copper alloy in a single piece.

🚀🚀🚀 Today’s E-2 test fire at @NASAStennis reaching 8.6 metric ton of thrust (goal 10) at 2.4 o/f ratio (goal 2.62) and 90 bar of pressure (goal 100 bar). Very close to reaching and maybe exceeding our nominal goals in the next test series. #loxcooled #3dprinted

Breakthrough in our lox-cooled 3D printed E-2 🚀 engine development: no longer engine rich. Next we dial in the mix ratio, pressure and reduce film cooling to deliver the highest performance combustion chamber of its class.ISP Goal: 297s sl, 327s vac, 365s with vac nozzle lox/rp1

🚀 Our team at @NASAStennis is making great progress on the development of our E-2 engine for Launcher Light. This is the second test of our new coax swirl injector in 250 fps slow motion (successful 2 sec ‘burp’). More to come soon.

Some more work I did for @launcher , featuring Launcher Light, a dedicated small satellite launch vehicle. Powered by a single Launcher Engine-2 on its first stage, Launcher Light will deliver satellite payloads of up to 150 kg (330 lbs) to low Earth orbit. First launch in 2024.

Orbiter, a space tug under development by @launcher : It can carry 150 kg of payload and deliver 500 m/s of deltaV using ethane/N2O propellants. However, if it expands that to ~680m/s, it can turn a GTO into a lunar transfer!
