Manchin's stance on restricting child tax credits to certain incomes may have an especially adverse effect on his constituents: In West Virginia, 170,000 children became newly eligible under the tax credit expansion included in Biden's stimulus package.

@kylegriffin1 Take note of those who seek to means test & cut programs that support working families bc of "fiscal responsibility" But FIGHT to keep the wealthy from paying their fair share of taxes—tho doing so wld be fiscally responsible Their hypocrisy is destroying the lives of poor kids

@kylegriffin1 Amazing that Manchin and Sinema get to hold democracy hostage because of who fills their pockets.

@kylegriffin1 170,000 of people that Manchin was elected to represent could now be adversely affected should he get his way. Perhaps he has lived on a yacht for too long to be able to sympathize with the plight of those less fortunate than he.

@kylegriffin1 @Sen_JoeManchin is more responsive to his corporate and wealthy donors than he is to his constituents.

@kylegriffin1 Household income of 60k or less is too low. @Sen_JoeManchin I would argue household income in respect to means testing should be no less than 100k. Generational poverty is a large problem in the US and needs to be addressed head on and meaningful, equitable change.
