George Lucas told me his plan for the sequel trilogy: Darth Maul & Darth Talon as the villains; Luke rebuilding the Jedi Order from survivors of Order 66; Leia forming the New Republic, becoming the Chosen One. @kershed I would have been interested in the political struggle post-Empire. The sequel trilogy’s “Empire 2.0” without all the political intrigue, definitely felt like Lucas’ presence was missing.

@kershed This would have been AWESOME because of Luke and Leia, though I don't see the necessity of bringing death characters back to live. Boba Fett, Maul, now Palpatine... it feels kind of boring to me.

@kershed Was this a different script than the draft focusing on the midichlorians and “micro biotic universe”? He had Micheal Ardnt working on scripts but I never knew if it was dealing with maul or not

@kershed this idea sounds so crazy--i like it because it's so ambitious, and because it's another example of Lucas drawing from history (organized crime filling the void left after political breakdown) to tell the Star Wars story, but i was kind of shocked when i heard it. so curious.

@kershed Maul was always the besr star wars villian. His arcs on clone wars and rebels were amazing. I would have loved him as the main villian in. 7-9
