@jayrosen_nyu I would think Scalise meets the definition, given that he continues even today to give oxygen to the big lie that the election was stolen from Trump. It shouldn’t matter that Scalise is a high GOP official or that he’s “jovial.”

@jayrosen_nyu @SamWangPhD What about narrative driven coverages? Every beat reporter covering China now is afraid of narrative violation and they don’t do basic fact check anymore. If it fits prevailing narratives, print it, if not, don’t.
