So exciting seeing this project publicly shared after a year of behind-the-scenes development. The OPERAS project group is truly a dream team and it’s been a joy to come together as students and trainees for a common goal. Congratulations @TASMANCollab!

My favourite takeaway from a recent course on feedback. People look for in mentors guidance and commitment to helping us grow. We are not seeking niceties or false praise. I’m on the bandwagon for honest, rigorous feedback. (Source: HNE Sim Centre )

Fantastic work from our John Hunter data collectors! Large scale, well designed studies like this both further the surgical literature, and verse our med students and junior docs in valuable foundational research skills. 🩸📊💻

In defence of the ‘morning coffee break’ on WR- in the last 2 days I’ve presented a long case to our consultant, heard about the IMG experience from our JMO, and been advised on recognising the dying patient from our med reg. #MedEd

Well said Dr Stamp. This is not a ‘new wave’- @RACSurgeons campaigning for mandatory seatbelt use in the ‘70s could have been seen at the time as ‘out of their lane’, but we now appreciate it was ground-breaking grassroots health advocacy. #socialjusticeishealth

Let’s get our heads around this. Stress is a short term response to a challenge. Resilience is a response to stress. Burnout is a syndrome of chronic multifactorial occupational stress. It’s not a disease. Mental illness is a psychiatric diagnosis.
