Our times have spawned a new breed of academic, one driven less by intellectual curiosity than by the ambition to meet managerial targets and exercise power, taking every opportunity to display “leadership” through inane speeches and meaningless but burdensome initiatives.
Britain's universities are one of its absolute glories. What other medium-sized country can boast so many of its universities in the world's top 10 or 20 higher education institutions? Politicians and journalists should be proud of this, not knock them all the time.

You can avoid this problem by starting each new plot project with gg_record(). Since your plot is exported as an image at every step of the way, there are no bad surprises at the end.
