As we start another year, I remind myself the importance of continual improvement and growth: “Where you are a year from now is a reflection of the choices you choose to make right now.” To lead your school and others, you must first lead yourself. #education #leadership

A2. Having strategies that allow you to be a listener, help find a common ground to the situation and actionable steps moving forward are always helpful. It’s not about being right but doing the right things. #WarmDemanders

A1. challenge is the amount of urgent items leaders must continue to work through. Prioritizing the situations and delegating when appropriate allows you to focus on one issue at a time and approach it with empathy and calm demeanor. #WarmDemanders

A4. Team building at building level (prior to Covid) consisted of team competition at school assemblies and special events where students worked in groups with staff to complete tasks. We have also incorporated families into these events to build community. #satchat

A3. As admin, we lead team building activities for staff that they in turn can use for students. These involve teamwork, collaboration and communication. The activities also involve importance of having fun around a central purpose. #satchat

A2. For middle school level, students need set parameters (time limit of activity, purpose, everyone’s roles) but they must also be given the choice to choose the activity that includes engagement and how it’s relevant to them. #satchat
