Among the other reasons Kliavkoff cited that for it being a bad deal financially is that the Bruins' travel costs could nearly triple -- to $27 million -- if the school chartered flights to Big Ten schools for all teams, not just football and men's and women's basketball.

The regents, as expected, did not take any action but the chair said if they blocked UCLA's move, “it would be a big deal. There would be a lot of people happy and a lot of people upset.” No matter what the regents do, he said, there could be legal action.

@billywitz Kliavkoff went on to further say ,"No you can't. No you can't. I'm telling Mom!"

@BoilerCat54 @billywitz @jasonscheer Tell me you don’t know how everyone outside the UCLA president’s office feels about this without saying it.

@mdhhsu @billywitz I’d say it’s protecting their own interests, but I have no dog in the fight.
