Here's an idea. Two weekends time, United play Liverpool. If the players & management are with us fans they should go out on that pitch, then walk off & refuse to play. Two of England's greatest clubs & players, making a stand together. Power move. #mufc
MUST's open letter to Joel Glazer is fantastic.
Their response to the events at yesterday's protest is pathetic and ignorance at its finest.
Anyway, we must move on from yesterday's events & focus on the positive message. Of which is executed brilliantly in that open letter.
50+1 fan voting shares however is a thing. Where fans get a number of shares to vote on COMMERCIAL decisions within a football club. The use of the word 50+1 ownership on petitions & protests is so misleading. Making 50+1 a solution to overthrowing the Glazers, also far fetched.
I will keep banging this drum. 50+1 FAN OWNERSHIP isn't real. It isn't 'similar' or even remotely like the German model. It doesn't exist. Nor is it at all achievable if football clubs are to successfully trade as business in their current state with the revenue in Football.
I have just seen a thread with two people arguing against each other, where they are both right, on a subject they are ill-informed about because of the narrative made public by those in a position of responsibility to educate better.
