from nj’s instagram stories:
1. drawing by kim whanki (peep the signature in the corner)! this looks like possibly his collection as the grey tile wall is similar to one we’ve seen before behind of his works by yun hyong-keun (twt below).
2. hanging drops by jean-michel othoniel.
+ if you still want to stick around that’s great! i love talking art & bts and that’s always going to be my priority. lately i’ve felt caught up in scrambling to follow along with every post and it can be stressful so i want to set expectations for you guys and myself. thanks! 💜
+ tracking down & posting info for a variety of reasons, including my job, the time zone i’m in & the fact that i don’t speak korean which slows down or prevents my searching unless the artist is tagged.
2. i can’t promise finding IDs for everything! for the same reasons.
while we’re all here and chatting, i want to mention that if you’re following me specifically for the IDs on the art the members share with us, please note a couple of things.
1. i’m not an update acct and don’t plan on being one. i can’t always be speedy when it comes to +
realized i forgot to id these—judging by similar works on his instagram (since his website has crashed lol) i believe they are also by lee jaehyo! here’s a vid of one of the exhibition spaces at his gallery:
this work is by artist kim inbae and is titled “back view 3,” 2021. it is on view as part of the current exhibition at the space, the 21st song-eun art awards, which was established in 2001 to support rising korean contemporary artists.
namjoon visited the song-eun art and cultural foundation in cheongdam-dong, seoul. it is a non-profit cultural space designed by architectural firm herzog and de meuron; nj’s photo (1) is a perspective of looking up within the main building (2-4).
