Scores of local election officials have left their jobs this year, worn down by the threats and intimidation they received during the 2020 presidential election and its aftermath. By @_aizaguirre. https://t.co/tif38D9tfG

“The baseless accusations are so ugly that, even as Republicans like Hawley demand that Dr. Fauci be fired, others, like Trump Jr., are already chuckling over the idea that Dr. Fauci could be murdered.” Donald Jr. makes his dad seem angelic by comparison. https://t.co/ewwPvklDI3

Just over a year ago, my Poppy standing outside Nanny’s window, unable to be with her because of covid. The last weeks of their 70 year marriage were spent separated. The twilight of their life together, and they were each alone. https://t.co/wz1zv4FbSh

That the “addiction” wasn’t to the outrage/anger/fear. Instead, the addiction was created by repeatedly receiving a dopamine reward every time their subjective beliefs (bias) were confirmed by Rush/Hannity/Tucker. The anger/fear was the by-product of the addictive process. 6/

"The use of fallacies is common when the speaker's goal of achieving common agreement is more important to them than utilizing sound reasoning. When fallacies are used, the premise should be recognized as not well-grounded, the conclusion as unproven and the argument as unsound" https://t.co/lbAcEj3kiO

@Nick_Carmody Wow this explains a lot of cults. We've seen what happens when insurrectionist are arrested and kept in jail pending trial. They don't receive these messages anymore and after awhile they are able to see that it was a bunch of bs.

By 2040, if population trends continue, 70% of Americans will be represented by just 30 senators — and the other 30% of Americans will be represented by 70 senators. https://t.co/UVSzfA5cX9

@mattzap I think your mistake is assuming that sessions, rosenstein and barr were honest in their denial of knowledge. None of them have any credibility and all are known liars.

@IngrahamAngle The only people who profited from this thing were you and your blackthroated colleagues who politicized public health as though it isn't important. Is it hard cleaning the blood off your hard earned money every night?

@Nick_Carmody @David__Tibbs @Reuters @jasonszep @LindaSoReports In Mexico the mob/cartel kills politicians before the elections. In the US we have death threats against politicians afraid to impeach Trump or vote against him, and threats against election officials and workers. We can see where this is going if these threats aren’t prosecuted.

A careful dissection of "Cancel Culture" can be defined in this way: People who have chosen not to engage with reality, are claiming victimhood when they are “disinvited” from participating in the reality that they deny exists. 28/

Garland was always a relatively middle of the road institutionalist, which is why Obama nominated him, thinking that such a centrist SCOTUS pick would be appreciated by then-Majority Leader McConnell. https://t.co/uqUJxQC8qk

In light of abuses, it might serve the public good to put the DOJ under an umbrella other than the Executive branch.

Michael Beschloss, American historian was just on Rachel listing previous times our democracy was on the cusp of failing. 1860, 1940, and 1960. The problem is all 3 events were followed by calamities: the Civil War, WWII, and Vietnam. All 3 were world changing.
