When religious folks say not to read certain authors, it's a bit insulting isn't it? I mean, do they think we aren't capable of critical thought? When have I ever blindly followed something just because an author said it in a book? Give me a bit more intellectual credit.
Jesus is hungry, thirsty, and tired in John 4. All of these are real human needs. Jesus never sinned. Very crucial lesson: having needs isn't a sin. Having needs is a part of being human. Even the One who invented water humbles himself to the point of asking for a cup of it.
