A word of advice - get your parents/ grandparents to tell you about their lives before it’s too late. Record their stories. I was just getting to know my father (in a real way) before all of this and I regret not doing that. (You’d think I would have because that’s my job…)

He’s still fighting. And I’m reminding him that he still needs to tell me his stories.

@RadioMirage Oh, my😭😭, this photo, & advice! Hands are so special, like topo maps of ppl's lives, so many stories in all the contours. So happy you are together again, those stories are coming. And I bet you already hold more then you think bc of who you are in work & life. Cherish it all🧡

@RadioMirage Word. I was just thinking the other day that I need to get my tias and tios to start recording stories about los abuelos and their own journeys. Hoping you and your father have plenty of time to share stories and life!

@RadioMirage A few years ago my entire family was together for my sister’s wedding and I sat next to my grandmother at a dinner. Asked her all kinds of questions about when my grandfather (who died when I was far too young to ask him) served in WWII.
