This means that nearly half the residents of Lethbridge don't have a family doctor. This is a direct result of the UCP's war on doctors. #ableg #abhealth

It's time for @jkenney to tell Albertans how many surgeries have been cancelled thanks to the UCP's failure to control the fourth wave. They admit it's more than 15,000. How many more? #ableg

The anti-vax, anti-science crew on winter: "They tell us we should buy winter jackets! Yet every winter the snow comes and I get cold! Conspiracy! Sheeple!" Omicron is not the next stage of conspiracy. It's a virus doing what viruses do. #COVID19 #covidvariant #abhealth

Loss of 5 more rural fam docs this time from Grand Cache, AB. UCP has obliterated healthcare, particularly primary care under fam docs in AB, by implementing massive cuts making running clinics impossible. #FireTheUCP #FireKenney #FireShandro #FireCopping

The ONLY Medical Centre in Grand Cache is CLOSING. Those that live there are now FORCED to drive 2.5 HOURS to Edson to see a 💊 Doctor. THIS is ALL thanks to 🤏🧠💩KKK-kenney & his useless ucPEE. 🤡🐵

This should be of concern to every Albertan. "The other, equally alarming, aspect of the bill is that it introduces a devious gag law, aimed at silencing civil society groups who want to run public advocacy campaigns that criticize the government."

Because @jkenney is a petty and insignificant man child throwing a tantrum for attention. Again.

It's worth noting, in light of the Premier's comments today, that the total number of lab identified flu cases in Alberta this year is 3. 2 cases among 5-9 year olds, and 1 case for a person 50-59. 2 is the rough average of 5-9 year-olds hospitalized each week from Covid.

Premier Kenney again irresponsibly comparing COVID to influenza in children. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. 1. COVID is much more contagious. 2. Long-COVID can affect 5-15% of kids. 3. COVID causes MIS-C (severe inflammation). 4. Unknown long term effects of pediatric COVID infection.

Premier Jason Kenney says he's happy Health Canada isn't "rushing the process" to approve Pfizer's pediatric COVID vaccine. "The science is clear that the seasonal flu generally poses a greater risk to for severe outcomes to younger children than does COVID-19."@CTVCalgary

This thread is worth a read. Apparently the value of human life is also less in @wetaskiwincity.

This is the outcome of a poor showing between @wetaskiwincity, @UCPCaucus, and @AHS_media. To close a shelter because all harms were not being mitigated reeks of the UCP principle in shutting down SCS. Is anyone really surprised? /1

Really important🧵about the Wetaskiwin camp. How can we help? Emergency shelter closed. Govt funding stripped from Open Door outreach team, forced to shut down. Four people in the tent city have died in past months. Healthcare workers denied entry. #ableg #abpoli @DShepYEG

Let's be clear. Wetaskiwin council didn't like having a homeless population so they ripped away supports and booted them to the edge of town to get rid of them. Clearly no concern for their well being or life.

If we can’t treat our most vulnerable with compassion and provide their very BASIC NEEDS, what are we even doing? Funding cuts, skirting of responsibility, and inaction has led to lost lives. Why isn’t this being addressed or discussed?!

At the end of the day the take home point should remain. Blaming comorbidities for covid deaths is dehumanizing to those who died of covid and illogical. There may be great confusion about completing death certificates, but we are certainly not paid to fake them.

So in my prior example Sepsis would be an acceptable answer for CoD, though more accurate answers as to the exact cause exists, these are not what is wanted. Cardiac arrest woupd NOT be the answer they are looking for.

- While I disagree that cardiac arrest is synonymous with death (decapitation) the CoD is intended to be: "Part I refers to the primary and immediate cause of death, that is to say the underlying disease (condition) that *initiated the chain* of morbid events leading to death"
