It was yet another windy day across northern Arizona on Friday. The highest wind gust reports we received are shown below. Look for lighter winds on Saturday and Sunday. But hey, it's northern AZ, lighter does not mean light. Winds will remain gusty each afternoon.

For those traveling west on I-40 towards Kingman, here is a look at the Dust Storm Warning in effect through 11:15 AM MST. This includes portions of I-40 between Kingman and Highway 93.

FYI: Here is a look at a dust plume currently headed south near Kingman that will effect I-40 east of Kingman in the next 30 minutes to an hour. If you are headed west of I-40 towards Kingman, be advised. You may want to delay travel.

There is a heightened fire threat the next couple of days as winds increase. Be very careful with fire or anything that could start a fire. No campfires or target shooting, don't park on dry grass, make sure trailer chains aren't dragging, keep cigarettes inside the car.
