The owners of Kansas City's professional women's soccer team plans to build the first stadium created specifically for a National Women's Soccer League team. Construction is expected to start in 2022, and the stadium should be ready for use by 2024.

@NPR So are printing more money for this? The NWSL income each club receives wouldn’t even come close to covering this. So why are we trying so hard to go against nature? We can’t keep faking interest forever

@NPR I'd be pissed if I was a taxpayer from Kansas City. Screw healthcare, education, infrastructure, lets just give a declining women's sport a NEW stadium. Let's hope the team is paying for all of it, as they should
