From 1990-2020, @NewYorker mag published 1 Profile by a Latino writer & 4 Profiles by Black women. Only 0.7% of @NewYorker’s Profiles in the last 30 yrs are by Asian-American writers; 5% are by Black writers. Only 32% have been written by women.

From 1990-2020, @NewYorker mag published only 7 Book reviews by Latino writers and 12 book reviews by Asian-Americans. Less than 1% of the book reviews @NewYorker has published are by Indian-Americans. Only 28% of all print book reviews are by women.

In its 96 years of existence, the @NewYorker print mag has published only 4 book reviews by African-American women. (That’s less than 0.01%.) In the last 30 years (1990-2020), 3.6% of the book reviews @NewYorker mag has published were by Black critics or writers.
