The MCG will host its first cricket matches of the summer as Victoria takes on NSW in a domestic cricket double-header in November. The fierce rivals will take to the 'G for a Sheffield Shield match from November 5-8, before returning on November 12 for a March One-Day Cup match

We are deeply saddened by the passing of former President Bruce Church OAM who led the Club during one of its most challenging eras from 1997 to 2003. Bruce was made an Honorary Life Member in 2004, following his time of almost 25 years as part of the MCC Committee.

50 years ago, Melbourne Cricket Club President Sir Albert Chadwick spearheaded the campaign to keep major-event Australian Rules football and cricket at the MCG. Fast-forward to the 2021 with the AFL Grand Final played away from the MCG for just the third time in AFL history.
