4. And just stating the obvious that if news outlets publish untrue serious allegations like this, Jamie’s lawyer could sue for defamation.

3. Not sure how Jamie’s new lawyer, Alex Weingarten, squares his stance that surveillance never happened with Jamie’s two teams of lawyers at the time of our reporting, who did NOT deny the allegations. Instead, they said that everything Jamie did was within his court authority.

Among many other things, NYT listened to over 180 hours of audio recordings & independently corroborated Britney’s text exchanges with third parties (who were freaked out we knew their exact text message convos & said they NEVER gave anyone permission to spy on said texts)

2. A refresher on the extensive ways NYT vetted Vlasov’s allegations: Vlasov provided a trove of emails, text messages, photos, videos, reports and audio recordings from his nearly 10 years at Black Box to substantiate his claims.

A few things to note: 1. NYT had connected with Black Box Security whistleblower Alex Vlasov BEFORE Britney’s new lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, even joined her case

Wow- in a bizarre outburst at Britney Spears’s hearing today, Jamie’s lawyer suggested that our NYT investigation exposing Jamie & Black Box’s surveillance of Britney…was planted by Britney’s lawyer Said surveillance “didnt happen” This claim is false, offensive & nonsensical

Plus, the court is expected to hear a dispute over the “12th accounting” (ie, how Jamie spent Britney’s money in 2019, including by allegedly overpaying the business manager Tri Star & paying the personal legal fees of its founder Lou Taylor) A lot of $$$ to get into today!

Additionally, the court may approve legal fees from: - Britney’s old lawyer Sam Ingham - Britney's old lawyers at Loeb & Loeb - Britney’s mom’s lawyers (who helped push Sam Ingham to remove Jamie) - Former conservator Jodi Montgomery’s lawyers

Russ, August & Kabat wants approval for over $100,000 spent defending the conservatorship to the media. Britney’s lawyer objected that the media work did not benefit Britney but instead served to counter criticism of Jamie and the conservatorship

Over $170,000 paid to Sidley Austin and two law firms in Atlanta, some of which was related to Lou Taylor’s lawsuit against a Free Britney supporter. Britney’s lawyer objected to the lack of detailed info on these costs.

Jamie’s other law firm, Holland & Knight, wants over $1.3M for 8 months of work, including $530k in “media matters” spent defending the conservatorship to the press. B’s lawyer objected to the “outrageous” amount spent on PR work and to fees relating to her “business manager”

Jamie’s old law firm, the Freeman firm, wants approval to bill over $700k for 20 months of work. Britney’s lawyer had objected, saying that 75% of fees were for overhead & Britney should not have to pay them “to enter the 21st century” by upgrading to "digital file management."

A prior round-up of the lingering legal bills in dispute, which Britney's legal team has largely objected to:

Then takes a seemingly scorched earth approach by objecting to basically ALL of Jamie’s lawyers’s legal fees (which Britney has to pay). Questions whether they are actually in the best interest of Britney...

Beyond Jamie’s current legal fees, bills for multiple OTHER law firms are also at issue in today's hearing. Yesterday's court filing revealed that Jamie had paid over $30 million of Britney's money to "dozens" of law firms over the course of the conservatorship.
