Rough! It's hard to shift from having a well paid employee mindset to a long term investor mindset.. sometimes you have to start or manage a business for years, take small bets, make mistakes before you mature into an "Owner" mindset.

In 1998, John Elway turned down 20 percent of the Denver Broncos for $36 million. Based on the closing sale price of $4.65 Billion, that stake would have been worth $930 million.

What I learned today about owning and operating a car wash 🚗🧽after I spent several hours on site with the honest owner. First off, this owner has done an awesome job running this place for the last 12 years so none of what I’m about to say is bad not mouthing him in any way.

I'm noticing a spike in CEO Performative vulnerability, or “Sadfishing”..I never thought this will affect the business world, but tough times bring out all kind of crazy things.. #Vulnerabilityporn .

Highest performing CEOs work avg 115 hrs/wk (McKinsey) When growing a business, expect to work triple. You do your current job. You do your next job. And you train someone on your last job.

Dear restaurants: The QR code menu thing is over. Move on and get real menus please. Part of the pleasure of eating is not having to interact with your phone! Thanks.

After what appeared to be an improvised ruling during the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix saw Hamilton suffer a shocking defeat to Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, the world champion considered leaving the sport for good. “I don’t know if I can really put into words the feeling that I had.”

It's a tough environment to predict. As of RIGHT NOW, with slowing construction, most homeowners locked sub 3, 4% rates, and have great balance sheets. My best prediction will be low or no appreciation nationally. RE is local though.

Why do we keep conflating economic decline with lack of labor?!! Recession means negative growth, or a decline in growth. Lack of resources, such as Finnancing, Energy or LABOR can hinder growth, and create a recession. We can't sell what we can't produce.

Anyone who thinks we are headed into a major global recession has not tried to hire a trade in the past 6 months. There are unlimited jobs, and no people.

Now the question is how long is this stagflationary period? And how do we invest in this environment? It will all depend on whether the Feds take the long or short road to neutral. I bet they will chicken out and drag this thing much longer than it should.

The debate about whether or not the US is in recession is tiresome, and off point. On point, and undeniable, is the fact that the US is experiencing stagflation.

Exactly what I have been saying the past 24hrs..The market interpretation of the Powell said is completely off.

On Wed, Powell said that the @federalreserve had gotten rates to neutral: “We’re at 2.25 to 2.5 and that’s right in the range of what we think is neutral.” The bond and stock market have rallied substantially since as the implication is that rates need not increase much more.
