was sentenced to 30 years in prison. There’s so much I wanna say, so many people to thank you. Lots of emotions right now. Imma start with a drink and get back to you later. For now thank you everyone! ❤️❤️❤️
I was sad to learn of the passing of Apache activist and actress Sacheen Cruz Littlefeather yesterday. I took some time to dig through my archives and upload my 2016 interview with her for

On Friday, Monica and her son moved into a 1-bedroom apartment in South LA!
I don't want to lock them all up, but I don't want to let them all out either. I'm in the middle of two extremes. I also care about the victims of these crimes--many of whom are Black-- who I often think are forgotten in the debate.
I fully understand that my opinion is not going to be popular among my abolitionist friends but I am not an abolitionist, I am a reductionist. I also don't romanticize Black people and the reasons they commit crimes.
In the court of public opinion, I take all of these situations on a case-by-case basis. I cannot apply a blanket policy to all. Looking at what's been presented so far about this heinous and brazen murder doesn't make me want to go easy on the son, the dad, or the stepmom.
