Maybe if the kids had tried to cross the street with a large wagon filled with diesel and propane, the police would have let them cross the road! #ottnews

Lets check in on how enforcement of the movement of fuel is going... At 2:14, our crews got this video of folks moving jerry cans right beside an OPP cruiser going towards the Hill. This was soon after @OttawaPolice tweeted that people moving fuel could be arrested #cdnpoli

A viewer just sent me a longer version of the arrest video from the dress code protest in Orleans today Tough to see how the Ottawa Police explanation holds up that these “youths” were “trespassing” on the sidewalk, when they just wanted to cross the street and join the protest

The Ottawa Police would like you to know the person they arrested at a protest in Orleans about a school dress code wasn’t a student, he was “a youth” and he was causing a “disturbance and trespassing.” The “youth” wasn’t charged and they didn’t give him a ticket.

The Ottawa Police are arresting high school students who are protesting their school dress code out in Orleans today. Wonder if the police would have acted differently if the high school kids parked their cars in the middle of the road instead?

Turkish President Erdogan says he doesn't support Sweden and Finland joining NATO because they are “home to many terrorist organizations.” To get into NATO, any new members requires unanimous support from all current members

FTR: Even if he became PM, CPC MP and leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre cannot actually fire the governor of the Bank of Canada, without consent of Parliament. The governor serves "during good behaviour" and not "at pleasure" of cabinet.

On Poilievre wanting to fire BoC Gov. Tiff Macklem, Trudeau says Poilievre seems to "misunderstand (the independence of the BoC) or not care about the facts at all, is somewhat disappointing in an era where we need more responsible leadership" #cdnpoli

NDP leader @theJagmeetSingh and some of his caucus members are meeting with counter-protesters. On his way over there was a few ‘freedom’ folks trying to get in his face. There’s now a bit of a police perimeter. #cdnpoli

Pierre Poilievre says he's reading Jordan Peterson "12 Rules for Life" "Great book and a lot of good lessons. We all need to improve ourselves and I think he has a lot of good wisdom in that book that could help anybody" #cdnpoli #cpcdebate

The Conservative Leadership debate features a sad trombone noise when the candidates don’t follow the rules. Scott Aitchison was the first trombone victim #cdnpoli

Today's "important funding announcement to strengthen access to abortion," is not new money. Rather, it's $3.5M from budget 2021 for abortion advocacy groups to "improve access by removing barriers to vital abortion services and offer accurate reproductive health information ."
