No book tour. Very few media hits. Trolls galore.
But thanks to all of you, for the second week in a row, my little debut book, “The Black Friend”, is on the New York Times bestseller list!
Thank you for continuing to support and do the work. Get yours:

I’ve spent the last few days plowing my way through “The Black Friend” by @FredTJoseph
This one is gold. It reads as if he’s having a conversation with you. He’s real and raw—super transparent. You’ll cry. You’ll feel uncomfortable. You’ll be offered specific ways to do better. https://t.co/zFYklE81bu

An America First Caucus is recruiting lawmakers calling for "common respect for uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions” and a return to architectural style that “befits the progeny of European architecture.”

Exactly this. They wrote Karli into a villain role when in reality the villain is the world leaders. Which they never truly unpacked and now there is one episode left and then back to fighting aliens lol. https://t.co/R5sLsBTzie
@FredTJoseph@therealbpx Yes - I said this when we were watching. This isn't consistent with her character. They must be setting her up to justify her being killed. It felt like when Black people are painted as deserving of being shot by police. I loved her character. Very disappointing.
Enough range for you and I to be having discourse about the show online. I personally believe that if you’re going to use these issues such as race, do a better job of unpacking them. As Coogler did with many things in BP. https://t.co/Fpj2pA3cw6
@FredTJoseph Lol I'm well aware of what the writers are doing. How much range can u really get out of a Marvel Show? Atleast I agree with you on Kilmonger.
Stop being ignorant. The writers of the show decided to violently radicalize her character out of no where because they didn’t have the green light or range to have real geo-political conversations. Killmonger was a profile on misogynoir. #TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldierhttps://t.co/dPQlqhPr48
Yeah, I’ve given up on the show’s inconsistencies as it relates to conversations about race. When Sam called ____ a bitter old man knowing already what he’d been through and being BLACK IN AMERICA HIMSELF. Lol it’s a joke. Waiting for Loki to drop. https://t.co/4Wrpke499B
@FredTJoseph That scene was disappointing, and painful to watch. After the bank stuff and everything, Sam still didn’t get it?
He gave up the shield, because he didn’t think American would have a black Captain America, then needs to be told by Isaiah Bradley?
All of that to say, Sam needs to have more sit downs with Isiah Bradley who seems to have a good grasp of what the world truly is for Black people. Though, Sam thought he was just a “bitter old man”. #TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier
I will say this, Blackness isn’t a monolith and I know plenty of people who are Black, liberal, and willfully oblivious to white supremacy. Even when it’s directly impacting them.
Lmfao, Sam is literally the most unlikeable character on this show. He seems to be the only one who doesn’t understand the existence and impact of structural white supremacy.

There is nothing that can be said about gun safety at this point that isn’t already said every few days when a mass shooting occurs in America.
