The Senate Parliamentarian's current salary is $171,315 per year. That's $82.36 an HOUR for a 40/hr week. Maybe if the Parlimentarian made $7.25/hr or $15,080.00/year they'd support a living wage.

@Derrick_James @Public_Citizen If they were to think about it, then they would have to declare themselves out of order.

@Derrick_James @Public_Citizen Or at least not come up with arcane arguments to thwart a $15.00/hour wage for others.

@Derrick_James @Public_Citizen If the Parliamentarian is any good, it shouldn't matter what they're paid. They are paid to provide an answer to questions, the rest is up to lawmakers.

@Derrick_James @Public_Citizen Rather than firing her they should just cut her salary to the minimum wage.

@Derrick_James @Public_Citizen It's not that the Parliamentarian is against it, they simply said it shouldn't be a part of the budget reconciliation, which is justified by just looking at the rules. Direct your anger toward Manchin and Sinema to end the filibuster.

@Derrick_James @Public_Citizen For years Iโ€™ve seen talk of making legislators make due with min wage & expensive health care plans but it never happens. We need to make that happen
