I understand you’re a lawyer, @sonyasavage Did you not attend Constitutional 1L? 18.5% voted “yes” to “remove equalization” That is not “a clear majority” according to the Québec Secession Reference your boss used as the basis is for this “plebiscite”

A clear majority of Albertans have sent a powerful message to the rest of Canada demanding a fair deal from their federal government. Thank you for voting! This strong democratic expression gives Alberta’s government a renewed mandate to pursue a fair deal for all Albertans.

@Dave_Khan @sonyasavage When the roots grow strong and true the tree can will grow. The UCP government can no longer support Albertans with lies. Families will reflect on their roots and realize this.

@Dave_Khan @sonyasavage Dave: Watch her Allanquisition presser or her answers in yesterday’s Question Period. When referring to the oil & gas industry (or provincial caucus) she uses the term “we”. If Alberta’s energy minister thinks the industry is running the show, should we not be alarmed?

@Dave_Khan @sonyasavage One of the big issues with that reference is that it doesn't define clear majority. And, as anyone who has taken con law knows, future courts looking at similar questions can find very different answers.

@Dave_Khan @sonyasavage But don’t forget that 100% of those that voted yes actually voted yes for removing equalization 🙄. 100%
