My father-in-law, a good and decent and witty man, died Friday in his home of 62 years; he was 94. His five children no doubt extended his life by springing him from a rehab facility at the very start of the pandemic last year. I wrote about it:

@DanBarryNYT That was a beautiful thing his children did and a beautiful piece you wrote. Also a reminder to us all to think twice about moving into, or moving someone else into, any type of senior "facility," no matter how "independent."
