Always worth looking up #4 - The amazing Tall Ship Lord Nelson at Whitehaven (July 2008). Built by @JubileeSailing Had both an able-bodied and physically disabled crew. Who best not 'look down' either! Take a moment to explore this shot, includes more than you may first think!

A superb treat from Silloth this afternoon- #glutenfree fish and chips, with salt and GF vinegar. Cooked to order, while you wait. So often the simple things in life can make you feel so good. @tastecumbria @SillothGreen .

One of @Bootle_FC - pair of WT Ellison #turnstiles in-situ at their Berry Street Garage Stadium and still in use.

Surprising find at @Bootle_FC with chance to compare WT Ellison (E) with WH Bailey (B) #turnstiles at close quarters. Ellison has circular section central shaft, Bailey is square. Told Ellison came from @Everton Goodison Park - bears oval plate stamped no 12 on top. Anyone know?

Interesting find at @RamsbottomUtd - two rows of cast-iron framed, timber seats under one of their small stands. About 40 in total. Obviously some age about these and so much more comfortable than the plastic counterparts of today. Love to know more about these.

Thank you so much Geoff and everyone @SouthShieldsFC for your super hospitality to @WorkingtonAFC yesterday. Your stadium is a great model for every non-league club with ambition. All the best for the future.

Away FA cup day @SouthShieldsFC for @WorkingtonAFC yesterday - lost very narrowly to a full time team sitting in top three of league above. No disgrace here whatsoever. Extremely proud of everyone's performance, skill and effort. The best of the season so far. We go again Tuesday

Always worth looking up #2 - The amazing 'colbalt' blue, celestial ceiling of the nave at Carlisle Cathedral - conjuring the notion of heaven. Look up and stare transfixed at one the wonders of Cumbria.

The anatomy of a turnstile - looking like the blades of a vertical-axis wind turbine. This bright orange 'Mayor's of Manchester' turnstile was spotted @WittonAlbion Wincham Park ground. (One of four) @PeterRMiles @The_SimonInglis
