Woman of the Year, to mark the 50th anniversary of my
Women’s Singles title (1968).
Everyone made me feel so loved that day. Rest assured, the love & affection is mutual.

A woman's right to choose what happens to her body and to make their own health decisions are fundamental.
We must fight for and protect these rights now and into the future.

On this day last year, history was made when
became the first woman and first person of color to hold the role of Vice President in the history of the United States.
She said at the time, “I may be the first woman to hold this office. But I won’t be the last.”
One year ago, this moment, in many ways, embodied our character as a nation. It demonstrated who we are.
We are undaunted in our belief that we shall overcome; that we will rise up. This is American aspiration.
