That Karen was going to take over from my clumsy ass was inevitable. That she did it while looking so angelic was just showing off.

It was an escalation of sorts. In the previous year we had had employees quit by email, voicemail and one guy quit by emailing the entire staff the resignation letter of someone else that called us all a bunch of names. As I’m sure you can guess, we were paid very little.

20 years ago, a guy who worked with me at ANG Newspapers quit with a cake left on his boss’s desk. I’m really sad Twitter didn’t exist back then.

Dec. 4 has to be the latest in the year the Hoffmanderson kids have gone without watching Home Alone. They’ve watched Home Sweet Home Alone twice already (thanks, @robdelaney) but I’m just seeing Fuller for the first time this season. Worried about their priorities.

By the second night I probably could have gotten a hotel. But I hadn’t minded the first night and my good jacket was in my luggage … that was loaded onto a plane that was buried in snow 🤣

Can’t promise all airports have this, but in Minneapolis, Delta provided me with a pillow, a packed toiletries bag with various essentials and a t-shirt to change into the next day. They also told me where I could get a portable mattress for the night.

I once spent around 50 hours in the Minneapolis airport and made the most of it by exploring every inch so this 🧵makes me so happy

“From the outset, it seems as if the league has been more interested in the appearance of bargaining than bargaining itself,” said Tony Clark. He added, “This lockout won’t pressure or intimidate players into a deal that they don’t believe is fair.”

“It’s not a good thing for the sport,” Commissioner Rob Manfred said of the lockout. “It’s not something that we undertake lightly. We understand it’s bad for our business. We took it out of a desire to drive the process forward to an agreement now.”

In case you're wondering why you've never seen baseball's league website "erase" its active players like it has tonight, here's what MLB-dot-com looked like during 1994-96 labor dispute — when domain was owned by Rob Manfred's Philly law firm. @sabr story:
