"Healthcare is a right"
What I hope they mean: Abolish the FDA, CON laws, TRAP laws, patents, drug prohibition, licensing, immigration restrictions, organ sale bans, & all other coercive restrictions on healthcare.
What they mean: Nationalize healthcare.
A market for organ sales invites some truly awful, unspeakable exploitation. Any such market would *have* to be regulated very carefully. I see the good it could do, but my God the harm it could do.
I agree, but if you want to reach out beyond your own bubble, you still need to explain how, down the line, getting rid of these strangleholds would translate into effective social security for all, (poor) people not being one accident away from destitution. If not, State™️ wins.
Agreed! I also think it's important not just to emphasize the value of getting state coercion out of the way of healthcare, but also the value of mutual aid for ensuring access to healthcare.
