I’m a graduate in Medieval Studies, and when I try to explain some myths about it, people look at me as if I was insane. The Enlightenment propaganda is so strong, that telling the truth about Medieval era sounds like a crazy right-wing conspiracy theory.

Has anyone read Sir Anthony Kenny? I’m looking to buy (and hopefully read as soon as possible) his “A New History of Western Philosophy”, particularly “Medieval Philosophy”.
The manuscript of Bellifortis (1405) is possibly the first found text in Albanian. To be more precise this manuscript, written in Latin, contains a mysterious paragraph in Albanian.

Burke was a political philosopher rather than an ideologue. The same can be said of conservatism; it is a philosophy rather than an ideology. Having said that, his views fall under various branches of conservatism, including the conservative liberal tradition.
Saying that Burke was ‘a liberal in comparison to DeMaistre’ makes no sense because they came from different backgrounds and defended different countries. He was, without a doubt, a conservative in Anglo-Saxon terms. After all, being a conservative does not require being a Tory.
