ADHD affects how we experience time. Not only can it be hard to plan ahead or tell how long ago exactly something has happened, it also makes it hard to envision a future for ourselves and work towards long-term goals.

@ADHD_Alien I actually use songs a LOT to know how much time as passes. Sometimes I use an entire album as a timer, and based on the current song, I know how much time I still have left

@ADHD_Alien "using songs to get a sense of how time passes" was one of those low-key symptoms I thought was totally normal until a friend told me that no they don't make sure they don't spend a half hour in the shower by using a playlist 💀

@ADHD_Alien This is why I set something up to pull money directly from my paycheck to savings. I want to move next year but it’s too far out to feel Real, therefore it’s hard to put money aside. This way it’s automatic and I never see it. The Qapital app is good for the same reason.

@ADHD_Alien For all ppl in Germany a super duper thing I learned recently that might be useful. You can try getting a smartwatch on Krankenkasse. There's an entire reddit thread where people show how they use it to aid their Adhd. Vibrations every 15 minutes to track time, lists etc
